History –
History – In January 1994, D.H Shelnutt, Pastor of St. Timothy United Methodist Church asked his congregation whether the community would unify or be ripped apart by crime and fear. Based on that sermon and with leadership from Reverend Shelnutt, Pride Rings in Stone Mountain(PRISM) was formed with support from individuals, churches, civic organizations, businesses and elected officials.
In October 1994, PRISM became an official non-profit membership organization governed by a board of directors, to reflect the needs of the community and residents on Memorial Drive from Avondale to the Stone Mountain Freeway
Mission –
To inform, support and serve our community.
Vision -
Embody a strong organization of involved members that reflect the diversity of the community, provides information, advocates on behalf of the Memorial Drive Corridor and promotes its economic health, excellence in education and recreational and cultural pursuits.
